Good Afternoon My Fellow Somali Ambassadors,
If you weren't able to come out for the MLK Day of Service Monday January 21st, then you missed out on a great time. MLK Day of Service 2008 was one of my most entertaining and rewarding experiences. We had the honor of spending the day volunteering at the Yorkland Park Center, which is a senior citizens home. Our tasks included assisting residents to and from the dining hall for lunch, and delivering lunches to those who couldn't leave their rooms. All I have to say is a few of us, mainly M1 lol, got very close to the residents. I think he's now married with 6 kids( sorry you had to have been there to get this). Anyways, I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to come out next year, and be the Somali Ambassadors I know you all are:) As for M1, M2, and M3, I had a blast...thanks for all the laughs!
Peace and Bariis,
Asha:)
